General Contest Rules for WRHQ FM
By filling out and submitting an entry form, you are entered into the contest and you agree to be added to the WRHQ.com e-mail database. We occasionally send email updates with concert information, special contests, and promotions. You can ask to be removed at anytime.
Winners will be notified via phone or email within 24 hours of the entry deadline date listed on the entry form.
Exclusions:
- ONE entry per person per contest unless otherwise noted
- ONE winner per household per calendar month
- WRHQ reserves the right to adjust the rules for a particular contest, and in all cases, the decision of WRHQ is final.
WRHQ-FM ROCKTOBER QUALITY ROCKS CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES
Promotional Period: The WRHQ-FM Rocktober Quality Rocks Contest (the “Promotion”) begins on Thursday, October 1, 2026, and ends on Saturday, October 31, 2026 (the “Promotional Period”).
Entry Deadline: The deadline to submit an entry is Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Eligibility
The Promotion is open to all legal residents of the WRHQ-FM listening area, as defined by the applicable Nielsen Audio measurement market, who are 18 years of age or older, except employees of WRHQ-FM, its owners, sponsors and promotional partners (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), other television or radio stations located within the same Nielsen Audio measurement market, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising or promotion partners, and members of their immediate families or persons living in the same household.
This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Entrants who do not meet the eligibility requirements will be disqualified and unable to win.
Entry Method
During the Promotional Period, listen to WRHQ-FM Quality Rock Q105.3. Every time you hear WRHQ play a song that contains the word “rock,” visit WRHQ.com, click the Rocktober Quality Rocks Contest entry button and follow the instructions to enter.
To submit a valid entry, entrants must provide the requested registration information and correctly identify the name of the qualifying song containing the word “rock” that they heard played on WRHQ-FM.
Listeners may enter every time they hear a qualifying song played on WRHQ-FM during the Promotional Period. There is no limit to the total number of eligible entries an individual may submit; however, each entry must correspond to a qualifying song actually heard on WRHQ-FM. Each valid entry provides an additional chance to win.
Only songs actually broadcast on WRHQ-FM during the Promotional Period and containing the word “rock” are eligible for entry.
Entrants must provide truthful and accurate information when entering the Promotion. The Promotion Entities reserve the right to reject and delete any entry determined to be false, fraudulent, incomplete, automated or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules.
Entrants must submit all information required on the entry form, which may include first and last name, telephone number, email address, home address and/or date of birth.
Entries will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address provided at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning the email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address.
Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Entries submitted will not be acknowledged or returned.
Use of any automated system, device, software, bot, script or other method designed to automate, duplicate or manipulate entries is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
Proof of submission of an entry shall not constitute proof of receipt by WRHQ-FM. WRHQ-FM is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, corrupted or otherwise unsuccessful entries.
All eligible entries must be received no later than 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 31, 2026.
Prize
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a pair of diamond earrings with an approximate retail value of $4,000.
The prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash. No substitution of the prize is permitted except at the discretion of WRHQ-FM and/or the prize provider.
All federal, state and local taxes associated with acceptance and use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Because of the value of the prize, the winner will be required to provide all information and documentation necessary for tax reporting purposes, including completion of an IRS Form W-9. The winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the reportable value of the prize, as required by law.
The winner may be required to provide valid government-issued identification and execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, prize acknowledgment and/or other documentation required by WRHQ-FM before the prize will be awarded.
Winner Selection
Following the conclusion of the Promotional Period, one (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Promotional Period.
Each valid entry received during the Promotional Period will constitute one entry into the Grand Prize drawing. Therefore, the more qualifying songs a listener hears and properly enters, the more entries that listener will have in the Grand Prize drawing.
Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.
The decisions of WRHQ-FM regarding the administration of the Promotion, eligibility of entries and selection of the winner are final.
Winner Notification
The potential Grand Prize winner will be notified using the telephone number and/or email address provided on the contest entry form.
The potential winner must respond to WRHQ-FM within the time period specified in the notification and must provide any information or documentation reasonably required by WRHQ-FM to verify eligibility and award the prize.
If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the specified time, is determined to be ineligible, fails to provide required documentation, declines the prize or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, that potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries.
The prize will not be awarded until the potential winner’s eligibility has been verified and all required documentation has been completed.
General Conditions
By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of WRHQ-FM regarding the administration of the Promotion.
WRHQ-FM reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who attempts to tamper with the entry process, submits fraudulent or automated entries, provides false information, interferes with the proper operation of the Promotion or otherwise violates these Official Rules.
WRHQ-FM reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Promotion if fraud, technical failures, unauthorized intervention or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of WRHQ-FM affects the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Promotion.
WRHQ-FM and the Promotion Entities are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone, Internet, website, streaming or other failures that may prevent an entrant from hearing a qualifying song or successfully submitting an entry.
The Promotion Entities make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the prize. Acceptance and use of the prize are at the winner’s own risk.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to release and hold harmless WRHQ-FM, its owners, sponsors, promotional partners and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from claims arising from participation in the Promotion or the acceptance, possession or use of the prize, except where prohibited by law.
Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for WRHQ-FM and its promotional partners to use the winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice and/or statements regarding the Promotion for promotional and publicity purposes without additional compensation.
Internet and Technical Issues
WRHQ-FM is not responsible for interrupted or unavailable Internet connections, website outages, server problems, failed transmissions, incorrect or inaccurate entry information caused by equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion, or technical or human errors that may occur in the processing of entries.
If, for any reason, an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, the entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Promotion, provided the Promotional Period has not ended.
Privacy
Information submitted in connection with the Promotion will be used for purposes of administering the Promotion and contacting potential winners and may otherwise be used in accordance with WRHQ-FM’s applicable privacy policies.
Decisions of WRHQ-FM
All interpretations of these Official Rules and decisions by WRHQ-FM concerning the Promotion, including questions regarding eligibility, qualifying songs, valid entries, winner selection and awarding of the prize, shall be final and binding to the extent permitted by applicable law.
