RAMBAM NIGHT OUT

ST. PATRICK’S REGATTA
THE GEECHEE SAILING CLUB’S 46TH ANNUAL ST PATRICK’S
REGATTA IS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 22ND AND 23RD.
The event will begin with a Competitor’s Meeting at 7pm on Friday, March 21st. All of those interested in racing are welcome to join them on the Wilmington River & Wassaw area of Savannah. To register online go to https://www.geecheesailingclub.org/racing.
BINGO & BUBBLY BRUNCH/SAFE SHELTER
Bingo & Bubbly Brunch to benefit Safe Shelter will be held
on Sunday, May 4th at 11:30am at the Palmetto Club 11:30am, 1 Cottonwood Drive. The event will feature a brunch buffet, bottomless beverage station, bingo, auction items and a raffle. Safe Shelter provides services to prevent domestic violence, protect victims and promote change in lives, families, and our community. CAMP ALOHA REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 28TH ANNUAL CAMP ALOHA,
LED BY HOSPICE OF SAVANNAH’S FULL CIRCLE GRIEF AND LOSS
CENTER.
Counselors and volunteers will facilitate a weekend overnight camp for children ages 6 to 17 years old, who have experienced the death of a loved one within the past 24 months. Campers enjoy swimming, sports, games, group therapy sessions, campfires, playing, and making new friends who have also experienced loss. Camp Aloha will run from the evening of Friday, May 2nd, through the morning on Sunday, May 4th. Transportation is provided to and from New Ebenezer Retreat in Rincon, and camp costs are underwritten by community donations and generous sponsorship from Southern Motors. There is a nominal non-refundable $25 registration fee per child, which can be waived for those who may need a scholarship. For more information, please visit: www.HospiceSavannah.org/campaloha/. VITA FREE TAX RETURN PREPARATION
FREE BASIC TAX RETURN HELP IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS TAX SEASON
TO THOSE WHO QUALIFY THROUGH THE VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
VITA sites offer free help to people who need assistance preparing their own tax returns, including those who make $64,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers. Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) is also offered for those 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues unique to seniors. The VITA and TCE sites are operated by IRS partners and staffed by volunteers who want to make a difference in their communities. CHATHAM COUNTY HEALTH DEPT HEART HEALTH FAIR
Treat your heart right and get free screenings at the
Chatham County Health Department’s Heart Health and
Wellness Fair on Friday, February 28 from 10am to 1pm, 1395 Eisenhower Drive. Blood pressure screenings, blood glucose screenings, and more. There is no cost for the health screenings, and no appointment is needed. The event will also feature door prizes, as well as information and education from several community vendors.
